Research Fellow in Disability Economics
The Centre for Health Economics (CHE) at Monash University has been at the forefront of health economics research in Australia for more than two decades. As one of the largest concentrations of senior health economists in Australia, we have a strong track record in health economics research. The Centre for Health Economics is expanding and complementing our existing research strengths in the fields of social determinants of health and the economic evaluation of policies. We are looking to appoint a Research Fellow with strong quantitative skills to work on the economics of disability.

The Opportunity
The successful applicant will also be part of the cross University NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Disability and Health (https://credh.org.au/). The first research centre of its kind internationally, the Centre of Research Excellence in Disability and Health (CRE-DH) will provide evidence to guide social and health policy reform with the explicit intent of improving the health of working-age Australians with disabilities. The CRE-DH involves researchers from across Australia and internationally with expertise in public health, epidemiology, health economics, health and social policy, psychology, and public administration. Monash University leads the economics component of the CRE-DH.
Being part of this team will provide you with unique training and mentorship opportunities to become a leading economic researcher in the field of disability and health. Applications from people with disabilities and/or with a lived experience of disability are encouraged to apply.
You will develop your research expertise and research profile, producing peer reviewed publications and contributing to the methodological and applied aspects of the economics of disability including econometric analysis of complex datasets and modelling the cost and benefits of health and social policies.
